Pawpaw fruit has soft, creamy flesh often compared to a blend of banana, mango, and vanilla custard.

Pawpaw trees are deciduous and develop an attractive tropical-looking appearance with large green leaves. In spring, they produce unusual maroon-purple flowers, followed by clusters of green fruit that ripen from late summer into early fall.
